Our Team

  • Ali Faghfouri

Ali is a photographer and filmmaker based in Canada and the founder of Carrotcake Media. He is passionate about capturing honest, beautiful visuals and making the creative process easy and enjoyable for every client he works with.

Ali’s creative journey began at LaSalle College in Montreal, where he studied Film and Animation and developed a strong foundation in storytelling, visual style, and intentional filmmaking. That training continues to shape his clean, natural, and timeless approach to imagery today.

Before launching Carrotcake Media, Ali operated several successful businesses, including IL VICOLO restaurant and two Vapertown locations, experiences that gave him a deep understanding of branding, customer experience, and what businesses truly need to connect with their audiences. He also owns and operates Möllinger Watches, an e-commerce watch company fueled by his passion for design, craftsmanship, and detail.

Earlier in his career, Ali directed and produced music videos for a wide range of regional artists, earning recognition for his unique editing style and distinctive shooting approach. This work sharpened his ability to craft emotion, rhythm, and narrative through visuals — skills that now elevate every project he takes on.

At the core of Ali’s work is a simple belief: great content doesn’t need to be complicated; it needs to feel real. Whether he’s capturing brand campaigns, real estate, product visuals, or personal stories, his focus is always on delivering polished, authentic visuals that support each client’s vision and success.

Outside of his professional work, Ali draws inspiration from his passions for watches, motorcycles and cars, golfing, and of course, photography and cinematography.

Carrotcake Media is where Ali brings together his experience, creativity, and passions to produce thoughtful, meaningful visuals that bring ideas to life.
